Bench Dips in Body Mind Spirit Integration

Bench Dips

Sit on the edge of a sturdy bench as your hands rest by your sides. Grasp the bench firmly, extending your legs fully with the toes pointing toward the ceiling (keep them active during the exercise).

Taking a deep breath, lift your hips off the chair as you slightly bend your arms. Feel the sensation of your weight being supported on the heels of your hands. Pause.

Breathing in slowly, bend your arms until the elbows are in line with your shoulders. This drops the hips below the bench. Pause.

Breathing out, slowly push yourself back up. Pause.

Repeat twenty times.

To Modify: You can bring one foot or both feet flat to the ground. This lightens your weight to give extra support.

Love your way,
